Hollywood Style Holiday Party
With the Star Wars premiere underway and a handful of celebrations sprinkled throughout the city, the streets of Hollywood were buzzing with activity on the evening of December 10, 2016. The City of Stars was truly living up to its namesake. And taking it all in from the roof of the Hollywood Roosevelt was none other than Studio 8FX and Alliance IT’s holiday party.
After a quick elevator ride from the lobby, guests immersed themselves in the old Hollywood glamour of the hotel penthouse, whose décor was complete with mirrored walls and silver accents. Starting the night on a sweet note, a dessert spread, provided by The Hollywood Roosevelt, greeted guests upon entry. The hotel also catered the rest of the menu, but began the evening with a delectable selection of cake pops, snowflake-adorned cupcakes, and additional bite-sized confections.
In the next room, Flipbooth gave guests a fun, unique way to commemorate the night: mini flipbooks. Whether they opted to don a horse head or a feather boa, guests had a variety of props to choose from to take their flipbooks to the next level.
Then, as guests ascended a short set of stairs and exited through a single door, the stunning view of Los Angeles, and the rest of the party, unfolded before them in true cinematic fashion.
Found Rentals’ lounge pieces, from the posh couches and arm chairs to the grand lounge vignettes, extended the art deco feel from inside the penthouse to outside on the roof.
Layered with Luxe Linen’s Onyx Manhattan table runners and Onyx Cleopatra round linens, the rooftop tables brought even more shine to the sparkling city view. The respective linens’ black sequins and standout pattern stood in lovely contrast with the flowers by Sybil Sophia Floral Design. Paired with glowing votive candles, the floral arrangements, which featured red roses and pale veronicas, softened the feel of the metallic penthouse décor and added a touch of brightness to the rooftop tables.
In helping Studio8FX and Alliance IT leave their mark on the event, Media Vision provided the decal for the bar, and Happily Ever Etched provided the stir sticks so guests could sip their drinks with an added personalized touch from their hosts.
As the party went on, DJ Michael Tinio of Behind the DJ Booth kept the ambiance upbeat yet laidback, setting the tone while guests mingled and admired the view of the cityscape below.
Now, this party would not have been complete without the bar, and the translucent bar from Town and Country Rental made a big statement, seamlessly transitioning from one color to the next like a glowing beacon for guests as they retrieved their drinks throughout the night.
Then, with their favors in tow—gloves, pashminas, and plush reindeer ornaments—guests ventured home both happy and cozy. Erin J. Saldana photographed the night’s highlights and her photos capture the warmth and excitement of this brisk winter night.
