Our House Party {Wine & Beer Tasting}

So often I hear people say…”I want to throw a party at my place, but I don’t know where to start”. Most people feel that they could never throw a swanky party, but I want to prove to you just how easy it really is. My husband and I just recently moved into our new home and hosted 30+ of our closest friends and with just a few days we had a very modern chic party!

Not only did we have delicious treats for our guests but we also hosted a beer and wine tasting by displaying the name and a paring that would accompany each drink. This great idea was a way to start conversations and provided an interactive aspect to the event. An easy DIY (do it yourself) project was creating the “Sip” and “Taste” menu using items from our local craft store.

We also provided savory appetizers and desserts include cupcakes and berries and cream that were displayed by using items around the kitchen.

The most unique element was transforming our garage into a chic lounge space for our guests to relax and socialize. This was done by a using a few pieces of white rental furniture and charcoal linens for the tall cocktail tables to give it a modern feel. The wall lighting and red rose buds as tables pieces to break up the room’s solid colors….simple and clean.

The event was a great success and a creative way to show our new home (even the garage) to our friends while providing a good fun party at the same time
