A Bright Idea

The right lighting fixture can completely transform the setting of any event, big or small.  Whether it’s to the North Pole, Alice’s Wonderland, an exotic beach, or just an intimate garden party, lighting schemes are the perfect way to transport your guests to a new and exiting place which they’ll never forget.

Summer Lovin’

Summer is the perfect time for some Sweet Lovin’….A few weeks ago we have created a bridal event especially for brides, grooms, vendors and anyone who loves weddings

Trendy Catering Made Simple

There are so many new trends in catering that it can really make or break an event.  We know it is really hard to keep up with all of them so here are some key elements to look for. Any party that you may host needs these to make sure it can be a full bash instead of a lousy soiree.

Looking at the Big Picture

I remember telling Albert…”who knew that playing dress up could be sooo much fun!” Can’t wait for all that girly fun on the Big Day. You can check out more photos from our very talented photographer, Caroline Tran’s Blog and we were also featured in The Style Unveiled Wedding Blog a few week ago.

Pasadena Real Wedding {Angeli & Franz}

Some couples are a match made in heaven and other couples… are a match made in snow. Here is a story of a young couple that got married exactly 10 years to the day that they started dating. With Black Baccara Roses, an engagement ring buried in snow, and of course, life size cardboard cut-outs of the lovebirds, how much more romantic can it get!

Spice up your Space

There are many aspects during an event that people believe could make or break an event. Some include decorative centerpieces, the delicious look of the dessert, and of course… whatever you are wearing. However, there are some features that are just as important, but are sometimes over looked. What do you want guests at your event to say about it afterwards? Hopefully, all great things!!! To make this happen, you need to think from your guest’s point of view; what are they going to be looking at for most of the night!

Beauty on Paper

Definitely everything stationary and of course, calligraphy. …  Sure, we will line envelopes and assemble your invitation sets but we’re oh-so-much-more than that! … .  I write on other mediums such as wood, ceramic, and thanks to a fashionable bride, even on giant mirrors.

My Mommy

She is the original event planner in our family. When I was little (and still now) we would have dinner parties almost every Sunday. But we weren’t your average family… it was never just the 4 of us but rather a group of 10 or more.  She always managed to make everything seem so easy.

Make your Invites POP!

Invitations are the first glimpse guest will receive of your event and it will help set the tone for the actual party. There are now thousands of ways to separate your invitations from the common everyday paper invites.

Design Challenge for Utterly Engaged

We were flattered when our design team “One Pound of the Sky on a Tray” (Love our team name…silly but makes me smile when I say it) a collaboration of Skybox Events, The Flower Tray and Cakes by the Pound worked together on this design challenge and got honorable mention. It was just one more thing that added to our fun night with great friends.

Groom Management

Grooms are becoming a much larger part of the wedding planning process. And with these new groom responsibilities, new groom attitudes have also begun to surface. These new attitudes are often much more unmanageable than they are helpful. Here are several ways your groom might react to the planning, and some tips on how you can manage them.

The Planner’s Conceirge

“the concept of the concierge was dying in the hotel industry, they were being replaced by digital touch screen computers where the guest could plan their own vacation, without the personal interaction of an individual.”

A Wedding Planner Plans Her Wedding

Ceremony Magazine published our article “The Wedding Planner Plans Her Wedding.” The idea for the article came around when I was speaking with my friend about my impending wedding, when I realized that since becoming engaged, my perspective on brides and the different feelings or stresses they feel has completely changed.
