Dine LA 2014

Dine LA 2014

Well, Angelinos, it’s that time of year again! No-not wedding season, although that’s happening too, its Dine LA week!

For those of you who have been living under a rock, DINE LA is two weeks in January where many of the “it” restaurants throughout Los Angeles county offer special Prix-Fixe options that give you a chance to dine where LA’s elite does! Many of these restaurants are the ones that you read about Jennifer Aniston coming out of, and other are the hidden gems that, without DINE LA, you may never have had to opportunity to discover!

Being event planners, we live for great food and DINE LA is the best time for us to get our gourmet fix!  Here are some of the favorites from the Skybox team:

For all of my Top Chef-obsessed people, you will recognize Craft Los Angeles as the restaurant of Head Judge, Chef Tom Colicchio.  Craft is a new American masterpiece.  For this year’s DINE LA special, they are offering a special 3-course prix fixe menu for $45 each that includes such dishes as Albacore Tuna, Whole Wheat Cavatelli, and a butterscotch panna cotta.

Another Skybox favorite is La Grande Orange Cafe located in Old Town Pasadena.  Having this restaurant within walking distance of our office is extremely dangerous! La Grande Orange offers honest and everyday dishes that use the freshest ingredients in Los Angeles.  Their DINE LA specials include a $15 prix-fixe lunch and a $25 prix-fixe dinner menu.  Their 2 course lunch offer includes a choice of a starter like their delicious deviled eggs and an entrée like their California-classic, the Green Chile burger.  Their dinner menu is a 3 course masterpiece that includes a starter, entrée and a dessert.

Our last pick for DINE LA is for the funky-cool Bazaar by the amazingly gifted, Jose Andres.  This upscale Spanish eatery is located within the Beverly Hills SLS Hotel, so you know it’s going to be good! The Bazaar’s DINE LA special is a $45 prix-fixe menu of their expertly created culinary masterpieces such as their “Hilly Cheesesteak”, an air bread, cheddar and royal trumpet mushroom creation, the simple-yet-elegant combination of little neck clams with pearl onions and Cava dressing, and the traditional Spanish flan with vanilla and fruit.
